Our Story: A Legacy of Afghan Jewelry

As Afghan sisters growing up in London, our earliest memories of jewelry were of our mother’s treasured Lapis Lazuli earrings and sterling silver pieces. She kept them safe, passing them down to us as we grew, reminding us of their value—not just in beauty but in heritage. Like many Afghan women, she cherished her jewelry, preserving it for the next generation.

This deep-rooted love for Afghan jewelry became part of us. But as we explored the market, we noticed a gap:

Authentic Afghan jewelry was either extremely expensive costing over £1,000 or low-quality and mass-produced, priced under £100.

We believed Afghan jewelry should be both high-quality and accessible. After years of research and building relationships, in February 2023, we founded KUCHI LUXURY BRAND,a brand that honors our culture while making beautifully crafted Afghan jewelry available to more people.

In Afghan families, jewelry isn’t just an accessory it’s a legacy. Our mother, like so many before her, safeguarded her most precious pieces, passing them down to daughters and daughters-in-law. These heirlooms lasted for generations because they were made with the finest materials and skilled craftsmanship.

When we connected with Afghan artisans some of whom come from three generations of jewelry makers we were even more inspired. Their dedication to their craft is extraordinary, but many of them struggle to find fair opportunities.

By working directly with these artisans, we ensure they receive fair wages while preserving the rich artistry that has been passed down through their families for centuries, for quality and stock managements some of our product are also made in UAE by afghan artisans.
